The gap between Drupal and its reputation
Dries Buytaert, the creator of Drupal and co-founder of Acquia, reshared one of my LinkedIn posts in full on his personal blog, alongside a post from Thomas Scola. The piece argues that Drupal is stronger than its reputation, and that the community's silence is what allows the outdated narrative to win — including in how AI systems come to describe the platform.
He closed by telling readers to take my advice and help set the record straight: write the case studies, document the technical work, and build a better public record rather than leaving others to define Drupal. Of everything on this page, this is the one I did not expect.

European Commission Sets Out Open Source Strategy for Digital Sovereignty
The Drop Times, the main news outlet covering the Drupal ecosystem, reported on the European Commission's Open Source Strategy and its implications for public-sector procurement, interoperability and vendor independence.
The article cited my commentary alongside that of Volkan Jacobsen of factorial.io, connecting the strategy's emphasis on openness and reduced lock-in to Drupal's role in institutional digital services. Being quoted on EU procurement policy in the Drupal press is close to the intersection I actually work at.

Drupal CMS ラボ, a Japanese Drupal publication run by ANNAI, translated Dries Buytaert's post in full — including my LinkedIn post, rendered into Japanese in its entirety.
I mention it because it says something about how far a single post travels when it lands. An argument written in English about EU institutional platforms ended up being read by Drupal developers in Japan, which is not a distribution channel I planned for.

A full episode of the ministry's DigiPodcast, with me as the guest, on EVALDO — the self-assessment platform for digital competencies that I led development on. We covered what the tool does, the scenarios users work through, and what the results revealed about digital skills in the Czech workforce.
By the time of recording more than 2,500 people had completed an assessment. The clearest finding: security questions produced by far the most wrong answers, across every education level and age group.

Cloudové nástroje pro komunikaci a spolupráci — panelová diskuze
A recorded expert panel on how cloud services and collaboration tools change the way organisations work, moderated by Janek Wagner. I took part alongside Jiří Molnár, Václav Maněna, Michal Černý and Milan Hausner.
Much of the discussion went to BYOD — people working on their own devices inside an organisation — and how to handle that from both a security and an organisational standpoint. The same tension I now deal with under a different name on institutional platforms.

An official ministry manual, published through the PortálDigi platform, covering the methodology for assessing occupational suitability. My work on the underlying assessment tooling is cited in it.
Government methodology documents are not widely read, but they are the sort of citation that survives — they sit in an official repository and get referenced by every programme that follows.

Predikce a realita pracovního trhu 2026 — Úřad práce ČR
The Czech Labour Office's statistical monitoring and forecasting report on the labour market, published on its official site. The competency assessment work I built for the ministry is referenced in it.
This is the end of the chain that starts with a Drupal content model: structured self-assessment data from half a million users, feeding into national labour market analysis. It is the clearest illustration I have of why the structure matters.
